Westwood is close to Peterborough city centre and is mainly a residential area with some commerce along one side of the ring road. It forms part of Ravensthorpe and was constructed in the 1970’s on the land which used to be part of RAF Peterborough, second world war training base. Schools include High Lees Primary school and secondary students would normally attend Voyager or Jack hunt secondary school.
